About Story Ants

Story Ants is an independent interactive fiction site where you become the hero of the story you are reading. You choose what happens next in history you can change, Bible stories, classic books, short stories and original adventures — all free to read in any browser, with no install and no account needed.

Who makes Story Ants

Story Ants is built and maintained by Dan Rimon, an independent developer and writer. There is no studio behind it, no editorial board and no advertising network. Every story engine change, canon review and cover illustration is approved by the same person who answers the form below.

Why it exists

Most reading on the web is passive. Story Ants exists to test a simple idea: that a reader who has to decide what happens next reads more carefully, remembers more, and comes back. History is the sharpest version of that idea, because the outcome is already known — the interest is in seeing how close you can stay to what really happened, or how far you can bend it.

What makes it different

Every historical, scriptural and classic-book story carries a canon record: what actually happened, who the people were, and which moments were real turning points where events could plausibly have gone another way. Readers are measured against that record, so a story is never just invention — it is a conversation with the facts.

How to help

If a fact is wrong, tell us — corrections are the highest-value message this site receives, and every canon record lists where its facts came from. Questions, corrections, removal requests and partnership ideas all land in the same inbox, through the form on this page.
